Why does our tiger paw now have little white dots in it?

It's on the football field, and I noticed the tiger paw on the Clemson Athletic website has the same little white dots. Someone has ruined our beautiful orange tiger paw!

should add that the Clemson's paw, the most iconic of college logos, is the best. The one on the helmet, the shirts etc. However, the one on the center of our field is different and it does not look as good. Not just the white dots, but the whole shape is different.

The original mold has those little spots as imperfections, much like the hook that makes the paw so famous. It's too hard to put them on every paw made. It doesn't really explain why they use them when they paint the field, though...I mean it's *authentic* but I agree, I've never liked it much either.

those little spots of imperfections and those big white clumps on the one in the field. It looks like crap. When I first noticed them a couple of years ago, I though they were popped white balloons on the field.

As far as I know it is part of the trademark.. Makes it different than other "paws".
