Our Tigers

are watching the stars align in our favor! We get ND, GT,m FSU and we take them down one at a time and we make the playoffs! The ND game will be close for a half but no more. Put simply they're do darn slow Put Mackenzie on their receiver, load the box with LB's looking a the run option and we will stuff them like a turkey. We DO NEED TO OPEN up the offense and it will happen. I do not believe that ND has the speed at the outside to control our outside game with the variety of plays we can run. For a while maybe. But they will get gassed and then the fun begins. I still feel we win by 45-17!

Alltime: They're so good that at best a poor to mediocre team--UVA should have beat them if they had the brains to double the ND receiver on the last play. They are slow OVERALL. We will pass them dizzy just like UVA did and they will turn it over. You obviously think they're great and I totally disagree. We'll see who is right. We'll put Alexander on their top receiver, force them to run and wait for their mistakes. Watson may have the best day of his career thus far. I'd suggest you get some tape of their games and you just might learn something

Notre Dame defense was fast enough to stretch GT's option out. Their linebackers play downhill. I think we'll have to pass to set up the run. Good game to give our speed guys the ball on the perimeter

Neutered Lame's & GT's Defense and Offense

Notre Dame has a decent run game. Then again, they've run against opponents who are not very good at stopping the run. Their air attack is all but destroyed due to the injury of their starting QB, and their WR corps is merely average. It will be hard for ND to even get a 1st Down in Death Valley against this Tiger Defense let alone a dang Touch Down. They do however, have a decent Offensive Line and the Back Up QB is decent. They may get a couple of points on the board, but nothing to cheer about as the Tigers should adjust the offense a little bit and have the game put away by Half-Time.
Notre Dame has an average Defensive Line, but a very solid LB corps. They have a weak secondary that Watson should be able to exploit as we will have match up issues between their DB and our WR especially at the boundary position. If they play a press cover 1 or 2 defense or try loading the box to stop our stable of RB then this game will be much like the Syracuse game in Carrier Dome a couple of years ago.
GT is a one trick pony and ND exposed that. Unless Johnson has a plan to re-write his entire playbook then I do not see a win for GT in Death Valley... A game Clemson should and could have won last season, but our Senior QB who "gave us the best chance to win" gave the GT defense 2 touchdowns, and we couldn't seem to get our defense off the field. This year GT is the same team. They have a roster full of athletic people, but the scheme remains the same, and if you can load the box and contain the edges Clemson will win this game.
The GT Defense is not an easy one. They have a solid LB Corps and a decent Defensive Line. Add in 2 really good DB. This could be a difficult game to play if we cannot gain a ground attack and keep the GT Defense honest.
Over all, we have two weeks to prepare for ND, and sharpen the offense a little better. I will say this much, Watson said that this was his worst game ever. If that is the case then compare Watson's worst game to Boyd's worst game and you get the sense that we have nothing to worry about. Even with an ugly win Clemson had 400 yards of total offense with a balance of 200 on the ground and 200 through the air. I like the direction that we are headed in. If we can get 300 in the air and 300 on the ground per game then there is no way we lose a game. Also, bear in mind of how young this team is. 90% or more of this team is returning next season. If we win it all this year there is no reason that would suggest we cannot repeat a Championship run again next season.
