Larry Shyatt was our coach, so I was calling most of the plays. We were up against Duke, pretty sure it was a home game because there was nobody in the stands. I managed to strip Elton Brand twice and forced him into an errant pass out of bounds with my smothering defense. It was a low-scoring battle, but we pulled off the win by four points.
Honestly, I don't think we win that game if I’m not on the floor, the rest of the squad was struggling. I nailed a clutch three to give us the lead, then sank a pair of free throws after getting fouled by William Avery. No nerves at all. I’m a winner, I knew we had it in the bag.
Even if this had not been a dream, I doubt the outcome would have been different because it felt so real. You should’ve seen the look on Mike Krzyxqpewski’s face...priceless...lol!
