Even if our offensive line play remains the same?

It's going to have to improve. Though it does appear that Watson may have a better pocket presence. Time will tell.

to actually start as a true freshman, barring a streak of injuries. We have two talented, experienced QBs waiting to take over and make their own mark. Better to let Watson spend a year learning the college game and getting stronger.

Next year is going to be awful with the QB situation.
Nov 3, 2013, 9:53 PM

With the first 3 and out or interception people will be clamoring for the backup. It has been so very nice these 3 years knowing who the guy was without question. I also think Stout isn't in the equation unless the actual running backs improve. This O still needs the QB running it seems.

Having a mobile QB presents more options. (and is harder to defend)
However, if you have a guy that knows the offense (who has game experience) I think you can convince yourself that you can teach him how to be a more effective runner.

It looks like Clemson will have 3 viable options at QB. (that all bring something different to the table)
I hope they add some quality O-lineman that can improve both the QB/RB positions and a RB/FB with some size/speed.

610 yards are more than anyone can ask for.
I'm just trying to add more diversity/talent to the offense, so that they can look just as good against teams like FSU.

Dual Threat. Besides, 3 or 4 seconds to stand in the pocket to throw the ball to the least of talent receiver who gave no help nor effort against those dbs who had been playing for a while before Watson enter the game. In a competition of such, you need a complete team effort. He had no big target receivers on his team. Better long, receiver with great hand under pressure.

Seniority counts for Tigers - Stoudt starter next year, then Chad the next then Watson barring injuries and hope/expect all of them go high in draft!
