The QB commitment that ND just bought from Dabo announced his decommitment from Clemson and commitment to Notre Dame within an hour. To put the icing on the cake, he quoted a bible verse to try to sanitize the whole situation.

The qb high school commit flip was technically not cheating. The buying of Collins, the chicken kicker, and the Duke QB were. Freeman is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Duke then transferred, Collins entered the portal on Nov 30 last year and committed on Dec 10th, Leonard entered in Nov 29 and committed on Dec 12th. Not exactly out of the ordinary. Additionally, Duke coach left Duke on Nov 27th which was probably a factor for those two players.

The only people that can prove the cheating is the players and they are not talking. ND has purchased their starting QB’s from other teams for this season and last. If you think that Freeman and the Irish are squeaky clean that is your right but, I do not agree with you.

his coach left but I’m convinced there was prior contact. A kid with his “lucky to have a scholarship” mentality doesn’t just bounce in the portal to see what is there. Kids seems grounded and would have waited to see how things shook out.
But beyond that, they definitely tampered with Wake’s QB. Wake coach just didn’t want to name the names but his comments about “you just dated him” clearly showed his disdain for them.

And there are dozens of teams that used the portal a great deal that didn't even sniff the playoffs. Using ND as an example of anything is one of the dumbest things ever uttered. Congrats.

Elite programs excel at using every tool at their disposal. A program should strive to have an elite staff; evaluate, recruit and develop at a high level; work at the margins to fill in gaps with top transfer talent. Of course, a large pile of private money helps to foster success in all of these categories.

Speaking out about the transfer portal, saying that our transfer portal is in our locker room. Having an assistant coach tweet that players in the portal are quitters. Saying that our NIL is God's name, image, and likeness. All of these things have contributed to taking a brand that was hot and appealing (thanks in large part to Dabo's work) and making it seem out of touch with reality.
It's Dabo's job to build it back up. I hope he can, because the slide in the football building isn't enough, nor is Dabo dancing in the locker room.
