Texas offering the HC from Baylor, then Baylor trying to get the Chad. Interesting hypothesis, a lot of "ifs" in everything still. Gawd I hate Texas so much

I just dont see how you recruit like they do and then play like they play. if I were a Texas fan / alum I'd be all for a change.Not sure what Mack's deal is but the last few years have been bad and trending downward it seems.

Well when he had that nice stretch he was blessed with consistent QB play. Vince Young and then I guess he had 3 or 4 years with Colt McCoy. I don't k now how many years Vince Young started but thats 5 or 6 years with great QB play. They don't have a QB that can compare to those two guys. That has something to do with it.

At least I think so. But I guess there problems are defensively from what I read. They have 4 and 5 star talent. Sadly, defenses all around the country seem to stink it up these days. Tackling is a lost art.

Big 12 head coach like Baylor's Art Briles is much more likely to get the Texas gig over an unknown commodity like Morris. An opening at Baylor however is a different story and I would think The Chad would be a strong candidate there. It's not the top gigs I'm concerned about losing Morris to, it's those programs that lose their coaches to those top gigs that are the most likely destinations.

The likelihood of Texas offering the head coaching position to a Texas A&M or Texas Tech alum is highly unlikely IMO.
