Christian Wilkins: Clemson Ambassador

Part of the reason I feel like these junior losses hurt is that we are used to the CJs and Tajh's who stay their whole time and leave cemented as part of the Clemson family. To me it seems like the departing juniors just aren't on the same level of Clemson lure as those who stay the whole time and come back to every home game (don't get me wrong I love them all the same). Christian strikes me as the type who is going to stay all 4 years and keep showing back up here on campus for years. He has remained very loyal to his high school and I think it'll happen again here. He is already a great ambassador for us and l don't see it stopping.
Go tigers!!

Agree , but if the player can get that degree in 3 years I am ok with the transition to the next level . That degree though ...is foremost in my opinion .

I agree. I think if you can go and need/want to go you should. Living with a player this year has completely changed my view of that. However there's something special about Boyd and Spiller and Jacoby

He will be the first player drafted after his junior year. That should be obvious

I hope if he is grades as 1st rd talent he goes.

Love having him, but anyone who doesn't want a 1st rd talent to sign for millions of dollars guaranteed is being either short sighted or selfish. He can finish his degree after his first NFL season and have millions in the bank to boot.

It benefits us when kids leave early and get drafted to the NFL. If a guy gets a first round grade they should go it hurts us in the short run but you don't land guys like Christian Wilkins or Deshaun Watson if they don't think they can leave for the league.

I reluctantly agree he will probably leave. He deserves to. But I just have this gut feeling haha. I know he loves it here and he knew it from the moment he stepped on campus according to his brother.
My main point was that those guys of yester-year are fantastic ambassadors for us. And I feel like Christian is making moves to be the next one.

I agree his positive attitude is infectious and he's the type of person you want to be around recruits and show to the outside world.

And yes absolutely. Another thing I have seen differently living with a player. Recruits eat that up, all these guys going and getting paid. That's the goal always.

I agree.. The better the player, the more likely he is to leave in 3. Don't take it personally. Be appreciative that this level of talent is considering you school. This notoriety is infectious and draws even better kids to Clemson. I knew on this day 3 years ago, that Alexander was leaving even as a redshirt sophomore. These kids are counting to 3 and dipping..If we continue to develop them, they'll keep coming and like Bama/LSU, etc we'll be productive with young talent. I love hearing the announcer say, " This Clemson team is so good, and they are all very young. That is a recruiting tool..not a vice.

At the level we are recruiti,v,ypu might as well get used to it. So if DW goes after 3 years, you won't look at him like CJ, don't think so?

sessions in there and it's diploma time December their 3rd season. Some can really use the 4th year, and do - bodies, skills, and the mental game develop differently during those formative years. It's great to have a reputation like Clemson has gained under Dabo of delivering both juniors and seniors prepared to play well at the next level.
