Just watched a replay of the State game and Putnam really needs to improve. Putnam has a heart of a lion but not sure of his ability. He really gets pushed around. He's not bad when he pulls but straight up blocking he really needs to improve. Love the guy and really hope he can figure it out. His snaps have been pretty good and he's learning a new position. Maybe the next few games he will get it going.

Valid point. Just forward thinking about how he would do against top 5 competition. Also run blocking. Sometimes he might not give up a sack but might be responsible for a QB pressure or a flush out of the pocket. I'm pulling for him. Hope he finishes strong. If he does this offense will be great.

We are half way thru the season and those young men work their buts off everyday to that end. They will all improve with every day that passes.

NC State is the best defensive line and linebackers we will face until the playoffs. I agree that Putnam does indeed need to improve and I think he is and will continue.
