through will the changes in College Football or as most of now know it is play for pay sort of similar to college football. I am not going to post my opinion. I hope you will read the article and form your own opinions about college football, and how Dabo has adapted and responded to the new era of play for pay sports.

.... is working under the following assumptions, which are the same ones I'm working under.
1. We are currently in a state of chaos and confusion. It is totally unsustainable. You can't have wht wild west with no enforceable rules.
2. We are headed so some major reform where there will be some structure set up, with fewer number of teams in some sort of new division. I call it the SuperLeague. I don't think Dabo has given a name to it.
I think Dabo is trying to ride out the chaos and confusion and keep coaching until the new system with real rules and real enforcement (the SuperLeague) is established. I think his plan is to see what that new structure looks like before deciding whether or not to continue coaching.
If Dabo decides it is not worth riding through the storm (like Saban decided) or if he becomes the SuperLeague is not something he wants to be a part of, then he will retire.
I give no credence to the rumors/speculation floating around that Dabo has decided it is time to move on from Clemson and start over at a new school (LSU, Auburn, whoever).

I'd say that sums it up. Except that's not why Saban retired. He's made it very clear. It had nothing to do with the current state of football.
That's not to say there's things he doesn't like. A lot of coaches have said whst Dabo said long before Dabo mentioned it. It's not exactly rocket science. In fact, some of the talking heads were saying what Dabo said a year before dabo even mentioned it.

Do you really believe that Saban retire for others reason unrelated to NIL, The TP and Revenue Sharing ??? Even his wife did not want work with the kids and their families because they were so money focused.
There have been comments made by Saban about the chaos in college football and how he is staying retired rather then get tangled up in what college football is today. Sports announcers and writers have touched on the same issues regarding Saban’s retirement.

100% agree. And my intuition says that Dabo’s approach in riding out the chaos is to move in a direction that he predicts will be very close to the forthcoming reforms. His bet is that it will be far easier to loosen his approach if the new regulations allow for it- rather than reign in a completely out of control, big money booster led spending spree. If that’s where his head is at- I totally agree. It may be hard to compete in the Wild West era, but long term I believe it’s a far wiser approach.

Then he needs to say that publicly.

Otherwise, he comes across as being out of touch and unwilling to evolve.

the problem i have with that, should it be true, that Dabo is "riding out the chaos" waiting to see if the new "superleague" will have order, is exactly the problem to me.......riding it out sounds alot like tie one hand behind your back and not use portal and everything available to win now......just blowing in the wind until some promise of football utopia returns...not a good plan, assume all is changed forever....and should some order return consider it a nice surprise not something to bank on.

College football needs an NFL style league.
Franchisor is a league managed by a Commissioner.
Each university is a franchisee.
Then we have the legal framework to implement collective bargaining and revenue sharing.
