I do think Clemson is sensationally competitive outright, to be clear. This is gonna be a fun season, make no mistake.
NC State is simply a mismatch is all, but if it makes people believe in the Tigers, gotta love it for that.
NC State is 122nd in the country in total offense. They are 107th on the ground and through the air this season, not to mention 109th in red zone scoring which includes home games against W. Carolina & LA Tech who lost by 10 points, with those 10 coming directly from 2 defensive turnovers in spite of being 84th in total defense including 118th in QB sacks.
They haven't won at Clemson in 22 years (& this year it's a revenge game with Clemson also coming off a bye-week to prepare), plus this is a conference game for extra clout. If NC State can give up over 200 yards through the air at home vs. LA Tech, it's not illegitimate to favor Clemson to do more at home after a bye-week being ranked 21st through the air outright.
Ready for an early slaughter to celebrate all weekend long. Go Tigers!

advantage with wins, plus, they are a land grant institution like us, founded on agriculture and engineering.
They, also, have had their hefty dosage of UNC's snobbery, largely viewed as the red-headed, step children of the UNC system. The Pack typically puts up a heck of an effort against us; usually (2/3rds) of the time to no avail, thankfully.

You are correct in that every unc school not in crapel hill is a red headed step child. The state legislature is filled with tarhole homers and no other school will ever be allowed to be better than uncheat. I will never pull for that cheating snobby excuse for a university in crapel hill, no matter who they play.

NC State has been the most overrated team in college football this year by far.
I think the Tigers handle and way then cover over Stanford but the Cardinal would beat Nancy State by at least two scores...
