Not sure why Odom, or anyone else for that matter, wants the Nancy State job. Firing a coach one year removed from a final four run? Now that the ACC has moved to a tiered revenue model, the pressure to win at lower tier schools is going to intensify.

I’m not a NC State fan by any means but they have won 2 National Championships and 11 ACC championships in basketball. That kinda answers your statement of why would they go there to coach.

but like Nebraska in football times have changed and they arent as solid as they once were. Not to say they cant be again but it takes the right coach and some commitment and sysnergy.

It seems as every time we have had success in bb our coach gets poached.
We need bb to develop beyond being a stepping stone for a more highly regarded program.

Unfortunately that is part of the college sports ecosystem. Sometimes your are the stepping stone, sometimes you are the end goal.
