giving Clemson all he’s got. Most players in this era would have opted out and prepared for the draft with his injury. He will always be one of my favorites because he has heart.

I admire part of his attitude and commitment but Dabo said it best. Mafah has to be honest with the coaching staff. He's been stepping out of bounds too often to be effective for the last 2 months. I would rather give those carries to Adams, EZ and Haynes to get them experience and help the staff evaluate them in close game situations. I appreciate Mafah being a warrior but this is a results based endeavor and he had been dipping out of bounds a yard short of a few desperately needed first downs for a while.

If the fans can deduce how severe his injury is, I’m sure the coaches know. It makes no sense to put him out there at 70%.

getting himself a high draft position.

NFL GMs and coaches swarm on players that play hurt. Proves to them that player has what it takes to get through an NFL season and into the playoffs.

He started the season knowing he would need surgery after.

Could have taken the easy road out and either saved a year or taken his chances with the draft anyway but opted to take one for the team to help this season come what may.

That's hero level in my book.
