anymore, even the bigger ones such as the Orange.

If I'm a player like Swint or Pace I'd wait to jump into the portal, knowing that this might be the last time I have a chance at a New Years Day bowl game.

I guess they figure that going into the portal just gives them a jump on other players and also allows for them to take the Holidays off.

The mindset and values of today's college player has definitely changed from the past.

Bowls don't mean much unless you're in the playoff these days. They are bigger for schools who are up and coming because it shows progress, but for the teams used to being in big bowls, they just don't mean much ever since the playoffs started.
