I am a total fish out of water up there being a true Southern Man. They only watch pro football up there if they watch at all...probably going to order a NY pizza and watch at the house. Hope I don't get run out for being Clemson Loud. Go Tigers!

Everyone that I ever met from Long Island loves to drink beer. If you like beer, you should be all right. I wouldn't talk about the recent unpleasantness or obama though.

that you'll be fine. I'm not sure which town you're going to be in, but there will definitely be a sports bar showing the game.

I was speaking mostly in jest. I'm going to Southampton but have been all over and the people are kind and do love beer. We have a rented house so I'll probably take advantage of that and order some of that awesome pizza from the "brothers four" pizzeria.

My folks live out there. Go to Publick House for the game. It's a brewery & restuarant. They have a good bar area, good food, and great beer.

Wow. I just looked and the Southampton Publick House is 1/2 mile from the house I'll be in. You believe this...it's in "Bowden Square"...Think I found my game spot! I knew my Tiger brethren would come through for me. THANKS!

Curious - bit off topic - why rent in Nov? Family?

And by the way, about 3 years ago we found a place a little off the main in the village (Southampton) called Fellingham's. It is a working man's sports bar and seemed to be as anti-tourist as you can get on the shore. Just another idea for a place you might be able to watch the game and have someone else serve and clean! It was summertime and the seafood was fresh. Not sure if that still applies in Nov.....

Work. I am a coastal engineer and I'm going up for a week to oversee construction on the beach (Bridgehampton/Sagaponack). It's a 3 month project so we Typically rent a house. Thanks so much for the tips, I will give it a shot.

My daughter spent the last two summers working in Montauk and said she was amazed by the number of Clemson folks she would run into.

And they'll be cool with a little noise. Be sure to yell "Way to go Jeter!" every now and then to throw them off.

weather tragedy in the world ever. Oh wait ... we just got trumped. Dangit! But still we didn't have power for 7 days!!! Shame on America for letting that happen!"
Stay in the Southland. On the serious side I have a sister up there in LI. And yes, growing up in the south, she laughed at the response to Sandy. (not to dismiss the tragedy but just how they handled it) Nevertheless ... they don't do college football, but she is trying. And I do outfit her kids in Clemson gear and they represent during the season.
