are the people who just sit there on their phones/tablets while an obviously crazed, large, naked man is getting violent on the bus. Honestly that's lacking survival instinct to such a degree I wouldn't feel bad if they got hurt. You got one guy attempting to do something while everybody else is a knot on the log, that was probably an eye opening experience for him.

to intervene in something like this that features a likely 250lb guy all hyped up on PCP or bath salts or whatever.
Having read the news article, I think that whole situation ended about as safely as it could have.
Someone gets to getting involved and it may have taken 20 people to get him to stop beating someone.
