Season Tickets

How is the season ticket situation now for FB? Im wanting to get some before we start having kids. I want my kids to have those core memories of DV from the start. I was told for a while they werent available or you had to start at the top of the stadium and work your way down as others let them go. I dont foresee much of that happening. I assume most folks hand them down to their kids and whatnot.

It all depends on your IPTAY status/points. You can start at $200/yr before buying seats
For Ex: If you are just starting out and go Howard level ($2500/yr before tickets) or below then you will be in the top deck until you accumulate more points. Then each seat this past season was ~$450/seat for all home games in the upper deck. If you got IPTAY level ($3500) then maybe year 2 or 3 you get lower deck tickets that this season were about $500/seat for all home games.
There are definitely a good number of people who have family tickets for the last couple decades who are in unreal seats.

Depends on how much you are going to donate. Riggs level? $25,000? They will find a nice spot for you in the lower level. Orange level $450? yes you will be up in the nose bleeds.
You'll be given a time slot to select from available seats on TicketMaster

So if you start at a lower iptay level, They dont actually assign you seat? They just give you a time frame to pick a seat from what is available?

Just a thought if you are young and money is tight. Donate to IPTAY at the level you feel comfortable and unless you are planning on going to every game, don't buy season tickets. Buy off the 2nd market for the ones you will go to.
Then when you decide season tickets for you and the fam are a good idea you can get them and you will be seated based on your total IPTAY points.
Iptay points are by $ donated and years donated. You get 1 point for every year and 1 point for every $250 donated. You can always throw more cash at it later but you can never get those years of donating back

What about those 3 game packs?

I think those are a pretty nice medium between committing to season tickets and going to the resell market

It’s a money pit. I could have a really nice vacation home in Italy for what I’ve shelled out over the years. I don’t regret it. I do sale my ticket allotment and parking pass most games now as old man life gets in the way. I still go some weeks. Even though I have great ticket location. When we go, I spend enough to almost go to Hawaii. It’s all the friends and family I invite and feed like Kings. That said, some of my best memories are in the valley. Heck, I have been known to sit out the game for the tailgate. It’s a fun ride.

lower deck tickets could easily be obtained at the regular "IPTAY" level donation. This was before the "seat value" stuff and when IPTAY wasn't in such high demand. For a new donor trying to get in the lower deck is going to cost you a lot more than a "IPTAY" level donation now.
Not knowing your financial situation - if I were looking to start a family - I wouldn't donate to IPTAY and would put whatever money I had towards my own children's future. Take any money you would otherwise donate to IPTAY and put it in your own children's college fund. It is doubtful you will go to every Clemson home game anyway because you will inevitably have conflicts with your children's weekend extra curricular activities.
On the occasions where you want to take your kids to a Clemson game - buy the tickets on StubHub, Ticketmaster or some other ticket broker. Just about every Clemson game has plenty available on these sites.
Simply put - in today's environment I would rather put all my money into my own children's education than contribute to the "free" education of paid athletes at Clemson. As for the limited number of games I would take my kids to Clemson to see - pretty easy to get tickets through the ticket brokers without spending $thousands a year just for the privilege of spending $thousands more on tickets...
Now - if you are very wealthy and money isn't a concern - have at it with the never ending IPTAY donation game and enjoy.

Don't do it. Put that money in a 529 fund for your kid. Then send him to Clemson

don't be surprised, the in game experience kinda sucks because TV time outs are endless and too long...
We are going from 10 tix down to 4 because the rest of the gang doesn't want to sit thru 4+ hours to see one hour of football and 3 hours of dentist of the week, especially against the like of Troy and Furman ... the only really marquee game is LSU for the opener...
Duke, FSU, SMU (should be good), and Syracuse round it out...
Hey, the good news is they are going to sell beer... great, more drunk dehydrated fans... whoop whoop...
So buy now, I would expect you to be able to move down faster than you think

You can’t hand down family tickets anymore. So whenever you or jimmy or Joe pass and you wanna give your kids your seats. Nope gotta start all over. Unless you can get away if had same name. But basically kids or whoever can’t get grandfathered in.

Just save your money and buy tickets on the secondary market. There are usually only 1 or 2 games a year worth going to anyway.

As long as we are in the ACC you will be able to get solid tickets for pretty cheap.
