about our chances after re-watching the Alabama-MSU game.

It was very close in the first half, and should have been 10-3 at halftime. MSU had good success with the intermediate passing game, especially when they went tempo right before the half. I think we can get them on their heels. Alabama's offense isn't really that great if you can stop the run, and MSU had good success doing so. Almost all of Coker's passes were very short, easy throws to get him in a rhythm, I didn't really see him make any great throws. I think we can take away the easy throws by playing tight man to man, which we do well.

The game got out of hand in the third. Alabama got the ball first, and was helped along by two 15-yard personal fouls on the way to a touchdown to go up 17-0. MSU started its next drive with a penalty and had to punt, which was returned for a TD, 24-0 and game over. MSU becomes a passing team at that point and they aren't coming back against any top 30 team from 24 points down.

I think as long as we do what we do, the game will be close, and we will have success on offense with the outside runs and quick passes, opening up DW4 for some nice runs too.

I think our defense does well in man coverage, and Coker finds out the boys in red are not the only hit squad in town.

tl;dr: I feel good. I knew that I would.
