But these daily noachian rain events are creating a thrice-monthly scenario.
Nevermind the havoc wreaked on my freshly-applied mulch situation as more and more of it floats into the yard that is growing so fast, the mulch quickly gets overgrown, meaning it gets mulched again by the mulching blade I use on my mulching mower.
Tha horror.

I have to mow every 3-4 days this time of year…plus my dad’s yard once/week…both about 1.5 acres…so pity from me! Ha!

I have an old push 21" deck model with duct tape keeping the foam handle cover on so I don't get blisters.
half-acre lot. 5,000 steps so I get extra calories in my fitness app. But still.
I'd rather just not.

I have a 1.2 acre yard, it takes me 1 hour and a half to completely mow it all with a 3 blade 51 inch deck on a Zero turn mower. Once a home/land owner gets use to a Zero turn mower, they will never use any other type of mower but a Zero turn mower bc they make it sooooo easy to cut around any obstacle's you may have on your land. Zero turn mowers are awesome for mowing grass, and it takes a lot less time to cut your grass than it did with a conventional lawn tractor!!!

Yes! I bought a zero turn two years ago and don’t know how I lived without it. I can cut both yards (we are neighbors) in under 2.5 hours. That doesn’t include a few ditches I have to hand mow and all the trimming…but definitely saves a ton of time. I have a 60-inch Bad Boy ZT Elite and love it! Bought the hitch for it and also use it to spread fertilizer and pre-emergent as well.

I bought the same mower last weekend. Kawasaki engine. Used it once, so far. Enjoyed the experience enough to cut a section of my neighbor’s property. An upgrade from what I had (Ariens Kohler engine caught fire).

Yeah, I love mine. I have the Kohler engine, but so far, so good (knocking on wood). Bought a light kit for it…which really helps on the evenings when I’m late finishing up dad’s yard.
Have also found it pretty easy to service myself.

I mow 1.5 at my house, about 3 around a pond about 2 miles from my house, and 5.5 for my dad. It’s becoming a second full time job. Cool weather couldn’t get here fast enough for me.

Buy some goats or for a small yard pour all concrete and paint it green. Never mow again. Initial upfront cost for long term gain.

I have not even owned a lawn mower in 25 years. Cutting grass is too boring.

I have had to mow my lawn every week since the spring with the exception of the month of July. Seriously though I will not mow the lawn until after a rain shower bc that sand that your blades draw under the deck will grind your mower blades down really quick.
This is the honest truth and I will swear to it, but ever since I made my personal rule of not mowing until we've had a rain, this is the 3d summer that I haven't had to change my mower blades. Before I made that personal rule for mowing, I was having to change my mower blades at some point of the season every summer and it was bc of all the sand that is sucked up under the deck when your yard is really dry, it will grind your blades down to where it leaves streaks of grass that the blades never touch...

I just bought a craftsman mini tractor and now I mow every two days for fun. My old Honda non mulch tossed a belt and I said I'm not going to change it so just gave it to a friend. I did figure out to over-ride the anti reverse mow.
