I'm glad Dabo was the better person here. Let the play on the field do the talking.

Now Dabo and coaches need to really embarass him on the field of play. Let the war of words end on the field inside Death Valley.

Dabo was smart enough to know that exchanges concerning Lattimore's injury was neither time nor place for trash talking.
Thanks, Coach Swinney, for taking "nothing but class" road on this.

Did you happen to see the second half of that video?!?!? The part where Spurrier claims that Dabo was celebrating after the injury?!? Me neither, because that didn't happen. People need to relax and actually watch the video... it is not a big deal.

Spurcock had absolutely no bizzz saying a word about the school in the up state. The one that USE to beat them all the time, BUT no more. Nor about most that comes from there is garbage and BS. That was more than plenty of saying nothing. Even a DUMB A$$ could see the intentions! Are you really that f-ing stupid!!!

Really? No matter how you paint it, it still is inappropriate for SOS to even mention CU & Dabo in that context. A simple thank you, or nothing at all would have been appropriate. To lead into a back-handed compliment with an outright insult, well, Dabo was correct, I'm embarrassed for him. Our thoughts and prayers are for Marcus to heal quickly and completely.
Go Tigers!

My thoughts exactly, Dabo has been here a long time, but he was not raised in this rivalry. I think it is awesome that a bitter old loud mouth like Spurrier came along and serves as a living, breathing, venom spewing illustration of why we hate the chickens sooo much. It paints a nice picture for our out of state players and coaches so they too can share the hatered. Go Tigers!

Now for all of the coot suckers defending the head coot sucker. Dabo never once mention Spurcock or his team during his interview about Marcus. Spurcock is the one that has always fired shots at Dabo without Dabo ever saying anything toward Spurcock. Old people at some time usually revert back to their child hood. Spurcock is regressing early into a special needs child. Or he is just being a worse S O B than he was in his Fla. days. The players at the Washington R S must have beat his Old a$$ down in the showers and raped him. Trauma from some where has him playing the abused child b!tch boy.

"Embarrassed for him"...
Oct 30, 2012, 8:46 AM
|
|
It seems as though Dabo may finally be able to relate to so many others when it came to his post-Auburn and FSU outbursts last year; not to mention his post-rivalry enema.
The one thing I know for sure... Steve Spurrier has been the same guy for his entire career. He's an a-hole. As a Gamecock I can admit that. But it's one of those "But he's our a-hole" situations.
What the a-hole knows though, is that even when Dabo doesn't want to respond... he ALWAYS responds.
I think Spurrier truly believes his team is better than Dabo's. And we all know the kinds of things Spurrier will say when he's feeling confident. The best thing Dabo could do for himself is to truly not respond, and have his team whip South Carolina's ### in November. Boy if he does that, he'd put Steve is a real uncomfortable situation.

I think Steve Spurrier does not really care about his players.
What I found most odd in the whole Lattimore situation was his halftime comments the other day. He was not sincere and downplayed the injury....not the kind of comments that you would expect from someone who actually cares.

Spurrier has been the same his whole career. Arrogant. The kind you love to pull against. Don't think it was the time or the place to take a jab, but hey would you really expect any less? USC fans HATED him when he was at Florida I am sure and I LOVED him. Bottom line is all of this talk means NOTHING. Unless we take care of business ON THE FIELD in November he will continue to bump those gums. In fact he will continue anyway. That's who he is. And boy I love to see him throw that visor.

Marcus Lattimore Day, but rather because Dabo had just been very complimentary to Marcus. It wasn't the time I would have chosen to continue their ongoing verbal spat.
That said, many would say Dabo's comments last November were poorly timed considering the beat down his team took just days prior. Most of the world viewed it as sour grapes while Clemson fans LOVED it.

enthusiastic and came off looking a bit amateur. As he matures as a coach he may look back on that and feel a little embarrassment.
However, what Steve did wasn't any kind of youthful mistake. He acted like a arsehole... plain and simple. You can't make any excuses for him.

Where did I make an excuse for him being an a-hole?
Oct 30, 2012, 11:05 AM

I simply said he is what he's always been.
I didn't say Dabo was wrong for being embarrassed for Spurrier. I merely implied that Dabo knows how many others felt on his behalf at other times in his own career.
Maybe Dabo is maturing. Still better to just stay quiet in the face of a guy you know has always run his mouth and beat his butt on the field.
