Really? If spring game is before the April portal opening, pretty easy to see how it coukd lead to tampering.

1. I am a football coach in search of a cornerback, for example.
2. I watch Spring games of several schools.
3. I have tape to evaluate several players.
4. Now, I would never do anything against the rules and tamper, but if it just so happens that one of the players somehow happened to hear that I was impressed with his tape and it just so happened that, unbeknownst to me, that player might be willing to consider transferring, and it just so happened that somehow that player learned that our collective was willing to spend top dollar on a player at his position....
Yeah, I can see why coaches will restrict access to practices, especially scrimmages, and would cancel the Spring game.

WOW!! Spring game at Nebraska is always a big deal for 60,000+ fans. That would be a bold move but I totally understand his reasoning. To carry that thought on out, I guess Ruhle will cancel games next season to protect his players from scouts. Like he hasn't raided other programs the past couple years himself!!

Well , to be perfectly frank ... Nebraska hasn't tampered with successful football since Tom Osborne retired.
Maybe they should quit shuckin' around and find a way to get into some tampering themselves.

Well, they were pretty good with Frankie Solich, but 9 wins were not a good enough. The then hired someone who thought the Huskers should be playing west coast football and later hired a bike riding, salad eater from the northwest who they thought had the answer.
