I know this Drum Major clown does.
Nobody won Thursday night. All of America lost. We saw clear as day how incoherent and incompetent our current president is, and the other choice is a mentally-deranged, sociopathic, lying felon.
If you walked away from Thursday night happy, you're part of why America is failing. It was an utter embarrassment for our entire nation and shows why we are ###### regardless of the choice made in November.

He lied about Jan 6 - something like "only a small number of people entered the Capital and they were let in"
He said something like..."on Jan 6 we had the lowest taxes and regulations ever" - not even close to be true, especially considering there wasn't an income tax up until the early 1900's
He said something like..."we had the best economy ever" - even if you take out the covid period (which I'm not sure how you can) - it's still not true

The two dominant political Party's are both run by political elites that have constructed a DC Swamp ecosystem that only cares about control and growing their power. The system of career politicos, whose draconian grip that demands absolute Party loyalty among it's candidates/members, has turned our political system into a dysfunctional, tyrannical oligarchy.
Federal spending is the very lifeblood of that DC swamp power hungry ecosystem and that spending has gotten so far out of whack that we are about to spend more on yearly Federal debt interest payments than our entire defense budget. This is unsustainable... The downfall embers of the American Republic are burning and there is no real serious discussion as to how we are going to put them out.
Nero supposedly played fiddle while Rome burned. As the American Republic is starting to burn - Democrat and Republican Inc. just continue to douse everything in gasoline, continuing full throttle with their swamp reindeer games to keep the partisan fog machines going. Who cares if the average American working citizen is consumed in the fire. After all - the last thing to burn will be their carefully constructed DC swamp ecosystem so why worry about it now??
All the debate proved to me is that we are seriously, and truly fracked...

I shudder for our Republican Party. Had we nominated (probably) anyone other than our quondam president we, all of we … Democrats too, would be way better off.
Had Biden shown real leadership and announced (in early 2023) that he and Kamala would follow through with their 2020 pledge and stand down, all of we … Republicans too, would be way better off.
So here we are … no winners.

Outside of the embarrassments of these candidates, every idea (good or bad) seems to go 'Dem or Pub'. But, it's not just that, every idea (even if it's good) must be demonized if that idea is against the party.
