the #85 defense in the country. If that's "OK" for some of you, then I contend you've gotten fat, dumb and complacent feasting on weak ACC teams. And losing to the coots...just smh. Did any of you see how they imploded against ND? They suck.

We were never a playoff team. Even if we had beaten the coots, we would have been embarrassed against the likes of Jawja or Meechigan.

My blood pressure is about as good as Danny Pearman's...our "portal" coach, who rakes in a cool $350k / year doing nothing.....

Look. I come in peace but you're really only looking at the surface by calling Tennessee's defense the number 85 defense in the land. Yes there's a lot of yards put up on the Defense but that's because there's a lot of plays played against our defense. For reference the Tennessee defense this year

Held LSU to 13 in Death Valley
Held Florida in check for about 56 minutes of their best game of the year and then let off the gas too early that game
Held Kentucky to 6 points
Skunked Vanderbilt (which bama didn't do either)

Tennessees defense is 36th in the nation in scoring defense (Clemson is 27th)

Tennessee is the 13th red zone defense in the nation. Clemson is 57th

Tennessee is 10th in turnover margin while Clemson is 74th

And finally Tennessee has 991 plays played on their defense this season. Clemson 930.

Has Tennessees defense been great this year? Nah but it's better than what the raw total defense number portrays.
