And I hear everyone saying that Dabo needs to stop the hiring of former players and other plans.
In regards to position coaches (WR, RB, DB, OL, etc...) who is at your list you would like to see come to Clemson? Or what kind of offense and defense would you like to have?
We would all like to go back to the championship years with Venables and Jeff Scott and Tony Elliot but that isn't going to happen. We just found the right combination and it worked with success beyond our wildest dreams.
With all the firing of head coaches happening already there has to be some assistant coaches that will most likely be out of a job at the end of the season, so who would be a great fit here at Clemson in your opinion?

Regarding position coaches...
We fired our Oline coach who got the job as an inexperienced, unproven coach, and hired Matt Luke who had a proven record of success at the position and who I still think will build a serviceable line.
That's what Clemson should go searching for experience and proven success at all coaching positions.
Dabo has a philosophy of developing coaches same as players. The reason he had so much success is before he had the leash he has no he went out and hired proven experience. Chad Morris, Brent Venables, Mike Reed....no he feels he can give his former players opportunity to develop into good coaches. That has proven folly. Unfortunately, the issues with the program go way deeper. There are excellent coaches on staff that seem disgruntled, lazy, or complacent. The program needs to be gutted and refreshed.
As far as what type of offense/defense philosophy...I would like to see Clemson move towards an NFL type offense and defense. The RPO is dead, no successful team in the NFL runs it anymore. Whatever this "Clemson offense" is....well it's crap. It ain't just about execution, and blocking either. Can it rip off big plays?; yes, but probably at only a 10% or less success rate.
In closing, I think Garrett Riley, and Tom Allen can both be successful at Clemson if given the ability to bring in their own staff and have more control over their respective rooms.
Final thoughts...CJ Spiller and Ben Boulware. Two of my all time favorite Clemson men. Are they good coaches? Or are they good ticket sellers?
Yeah, Ben has a heart and fire unmatched, and Spiller is the nicest dude in the world. But I'm not seeing their ability to transfer their passion and ignite their players.
Either way, no matter what happens, I'll still bleed orange. Go Tigers.

do you know what happens day to day? No. So why speculate on anything you don;t know anything about? What you know is the product on the field; the sauasage, you do not know how the sausage is actually made...
We blame in ignorance...
For instance, why dd Adam Randall run into the tackler instead of following the blocking on the 4th down play? The play was there, if he followed the block he gets the first down. So who gets the blame for that? Spiller? Riley? Luke? Dabo? or Randall? or it was breakdown somewhere else? We have no clue. The coaches and players do, and they will point it out in the film room and hopefully work to correct it in practice and we never see that again...
This is abviously not a polished product and is not complimentary...
Do you think NIL money has any impact on play? I do not have a clue...
I do know that TV timeouts are killing the game live, its brutal to sit thru all the stoppages of play.
80 minutes of football crammed into 240-290 minutes of time... kills drives, kills momentum, kills fan enthusiasm... lets speed up the game but make it last longer... NFL puts the same product on the field and they do it in 3-ish hours...

You do not know anything about me or what I may or may not know.
So why speculate that I don't know?

Clemson football needs disrupters. Dabo has failed to bring in guys who would challenge him on how a successful program can sustain excellence. What do you think the response from Venables would be if Dabo told him that he was to take on one of the Swinney boys to fill an open spot on the defensive staff? I think BV would simply say no, and end of discussion! Dabo came in with something to prove. Can he do it again?

Venables will not say no. Venables had his own kids playing on the team as well, so that argument doesn't fly.

I would like the coordinators to bring 9n their position coaches. That way they don’t have to teach players and coaches the plan..

Clawson would be on my list ASAP if he even wants to coach anymore. He made Wake an offensive power without much talent to speak of, one of the most underrated offensive coaches of our generation IMO. Let him truly be the head coach of the offense. Throw whatever money it takes for him to come in the building at least over the offseason as a consultant and actually listen to his advice.

Also Raimond Braithwaite out of Iowa would be my choice numbero uno for the new Strength and Conditioning coach. Iowa ALWAYS has some hogs on the LOS, defense always looks strong their O line always looks solid. Never super talented but I can't remember ever seeing Iowa look like they're getting blown off the ball due to not being strong enough even against the likes of Penn State and Ohio State.

LILHOOD The best approach is not to hire fired ex-head coaches but to hire lesser paid asst coaches from successful programs (e.g. Brent Venables, Chad Morris). Some Cignetti assistants may fit in this category. Also HC's from ultra-successful FCS and Div. II programs.
