Bresee and Murphy are the best two players on the team. As for the slot, can Ajou get a fair shot at backing up J. Ross? He’s a beast. Hopefully, these better younger players at OL, LB, and DB/S will get a shot to start sometime in the season.
The lesson learned from the past two years of playoffs is that our slow & slightly above average starters (10-20%) who excel through the ACC season, based on their toughness and the level of competition, cannot compete against the top athletic teams in the nation. Bama would have beaten Clemson by whatever score Nick wished had Ohio St not whipped our behinds. Hopefully, coaches and players are hungry and willing to adapt approach this year to win it all.

And just three years ago our ‘slow and slightly above average starters’ beat the big dog 44-16 not to mention other conquests. I’m not sure I follow ‘lessons learned’ and ‘cannot compete’.
Hopefully we will have another shot this year. Sure beats wandering through the desert for thirty years.

that was not a case of slightly above average talent...that tends to be the trend on this site though people act like you cant be critical of dabo or the team in general because they make playoff appearances and won some championships..fact is our defense has been no where near it was that year we smashed bama..and it is very reasonable to ask questions as to why we have fallen off so much on that side of the ball.
