Reading Hunter Helms comments on diet made me wonder what our guys eat at the three main meals. I'm sure it varies from day to day and by player, but could you give us some examples of what their meals are like?

Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sauté it. There’s um, shrimp kebabs, shrimp creole.
Shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There’s pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp.
Shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That’s, that’s about it.

Most important question: Are those grits fried cakes? Or served in a bowl like breakfast? The wrong answer should get you a lifetime ban. This means as much as coot or Tiger.

Jewish (Hebrew) dietary law restriction (Old Covenant). At the time, handling of those proteins were not sanitary and considered unclean. However, Peter had a vision from God where he was told that those proteins that were considered unclean were now permissible (New Covenant). Therefore, we believers know that shrimp is permissible.
Perhaps you should read the Bible in context instead of cherry-picking verses that you perceive to be a sin of believers.

It’s wild to me that a man says he had a vision from God telling him shrimp was ok to eat and people just believe it. Like if some dude today had a vision from God saying shrimp is now not ok to eat, would you just blindly believe him? Where is the logic? Makes absolutely 0 sense.

Acts 10:9-16 At noon on the following day, as their journey brought them close to the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. He became hungry and wanted to eat. While others were preparing the meal, he had a visionary experience. He saw heaven opened up and something like a large linen sheet being lowered to the earth by its four corners. Inside the sheet were all kinds of four-legged animals, reptiles, and wild birds. A voice told him, “Get up, Peter! Kill and eat!”
Peter exclaimed, “Absolutely not, Lord! I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
The voice spoke a second time, “Never consider unclean what God has made pure.” This happened three times, then the object was suddenly pulled back into heaven.
Note, shrimp was not specifically mentioned here, but the implication of previously listed food considered unclean were included. Don't get weighed down by one meat, shrimp.
Nevertheless, these words were recorded by the Gospel writer Luke - a doctor, a man of science, a trusted individual with attention to detail. He believed Peter and recorded it for history.
Here are further reasons I believe the account...
1. Peter was an apostle of Jesus Christ and spent three years under his tutelage and witnessed multiple miracles including hearing the words from God the Father, "This is my Son whom I dearly love. I am very pleased with him. Listen to him!”. 2. Peter denied Jesus Christ after being specifically told he would despite Peter belligerently proclaiming he wouldn't. 3. Peter was one of the first disciples to witness Jesus in His resurrection body ... not a vision, not a hallucination, not a ghost ... a physical body. (The disciple Thomas, known for his skepticism and doubting, believed because he actually touched Jesus Christ after His resurrection.) 4. Peter was forgiven for his denial. Furthermore, Peter was specifically told by Jesus Christ that Peter's faith would be the rock and the foundation of the Church founded by Jesus Christ. 5. Peter boldly proclaimed salvation by Jesus Christ, was imprisoned for his faith, was miraculously saved from prison, witnessed Jesus Christ's ascension. 6. Peter died for his faith.
As a man of science (engineering and math), I am skeptical of many things I read, see on video, and hear. I seek facts and both sides of the story before I believe. But, the one thing I do know, without a doubt, my life was changed when I placed my faith in Jesus Christ knowing full well I was a sinner and a denier. When I did surrender my life to Him, I left bitterness, jealousy, and drunkenness behind. I gained life.
Therefore, I believe this account. I know the power the words of God have to save a wretch like me. What you do with it is your free-will.
(If you need more radical examples of changed lives, read about the life of the Pharisee, Saul/Paul. Talk about a changed life! More current examples, read Evidence that Demands a Verdict by Josh McDowell. Or, the books of Lee Stroebel. These three sought to destroy Jesus Christ and His Gospel. They were changed.)

I believe you may have missed the remainder of your argument…
Jesus Christ, God the Son, stated it this way, Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them. For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Matthew 5:17-18 BSB
Paul, a Jewish Pharisee stated it this way, We who are Jews by birth and not Gentile “sinners” know that a man is not justified by works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified in Christ, we ourselves are found to be sinners, does that make Christ a minister of sin? Certainly not! If I rebuild what I have already torn down, I prove myself to be a lawbreaker. For through the law I died to the law so that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. I do not set aside the grace of God. For if righteousness comes through the law, Christ died for nothing. Galatians 2:15-21 BSB
To fulfill is to complete the Law and to take the punishment for violating the Law. Breaking one law makes you a lawbreaker. I am a lawbreaker. Every human being is a lawbreaker (Romans 3:23). Jesus Christ, though completely sinless, took the punishment for those who have faith in Him and His atoning sacrifice. He showed, to those who have faith in Jesus Christ, grace and mercy and fulfilled the Law for me and others who believe.

Not sure when premium night was started. In the late 70s, Harcombe had “steak night” and you were given a ticket. Thinking maybe fried shrimp was an option too. Believe this was on Friday cause we often went after happy hour downtown! 🍻 Steaks were usually well done and certainly looked different than the ones we cooked at home or had at restaurants! 😆

When I was a college athlete, my diet varied greatly based on body weight. As a 135lb freshman, I was fed between 17,000 and 20,000 calories a day. The main items were high protein like boiled chicken, tuna, peanut butter (lots of it), and protein shakes. This was coupled with 3-4 hours of gym time per day in the off-season.
Once I topped out at 215lbs, my daily dietary intake changed. It was more super energy rich foods low in fat.
The one commonality in my experience was the nutritionist kept track of everything I ate and if I had something not on the list; I had to let them know. They planned my meals based on my likes and dislikes. The amount of food was subjective to my goals.
