Clemsons 2025 outlook

Although the season seems to be far from over, I was pondering something that had me rather optimistic yesterday after the game.
From my understanding, Clemson isn’t losing very many players. From what I see, it seems only Brinningstool, Carter, Woodaz are 3 of maybe a handful of players leaving. That’s a really good sign.
Also, Dabo will literally be forced to go into the portal. The recruiting class will not fill the need for the roster. 2025 will be interesting but I think they will be pretty good.

Let's see what happens when the portal opens up on 12/9. I honestly have no idea what to expect.

I fully expect to see some defensive players leave, and probably a handful of offensive guys take a hike for either PT or a payday.

new players, returning players, young team, experienced team, no injuries, lots of injuries, new coaches, old coaches, etc, etc, etc.......
Until Dabo utilizes PORTAL AND NIL to get some IMPACT players it's lather, rinse, repeat of the last 4 years...............HOPEFULLY THIS south carolina loss changed him, time will tell. If so, it's a shame he let it get to this point to change.............If not, oh boy........

Pretty sure Woodazz has another year of eligibility. Can’t imagine that he wouldn’t improve his draft stock by coming back another year.

We lose Mafah. We need help at DE, RB, and LB.

I disagree. We have a very good RB in the class, have 2 good RB's on the team now that were not used. LB we are good but could use depth. We don't need a starter there. DE we could definitely use depth and a quality starter. This of course if we don't lose any to the portal. What we need is a good punter, a true real special teams coach, and a true real with experience LB's and DC.

Beaux Collins has had a good year at Notre Dame.
Both are on teams that are locks for the playoffs. We aren't a lock. We may be an at large team even if we beat SMU.
Their transfers out are looking pretty smart.

Dabo won't use the portal or up front NIL. The roster is expanding to 105 with a small class.
We may lose a lot to the portal.
That's not a very positive outlook.

And we have 2 too 10 RB’s coming in the next class. Will be even better if one is an early enrollee. I agree that we need help at DE, and possible also grab a seasoned LB.

Woodaz is only a junior, so he will be back.
Offense: We lose Mafah, Briningstool, and Tate. It’s possible Blake Miller decides to go pro. And we definitely lose some backups to the portal.
Defense: We lose Page, Carter, and Mickens. Capehart and Tre Williams could come back for their 6th years, but I don’t know.
Transfer portal: We should pursue a RB, TE, LB, and S for sure. Depending on what happens with Capehart and Williams, we need to pursue a DT as well. DE is a must. We made a huge mistake not getting a DE from the portal for this season. We can’t make that mistake again.

Should be much more difficult.
Replace UGa with LSU (easier) but conference games include
SMU, Syracuse, Duke, FSU come to Clemson Vs this year NCSU, UVA, Stanford, Louisville SMU>UL Duke>UVa Syracuse>>>NCSU FSU=Stanford
We visit Louisville, BC, GT, UNC UNC>FSU BC>Pitt GT>>VT UL>>WF
Add at the Chickens Troy, Furman
Still miss Miami (good), Cal (so what) Also miss WF, NCSU, UVa (all wins) And Pitt, VT
We better improve because our schedule at this point looks improved. (Of course, this year looked difficult back in early August)

Nah. You just ranked things to fit your narrative. Schedule should be a little harder, not much more difficult. Actually nobody can say for sure because teams will change drastically. FSU was top 10 at start of this season and ended up maybe 2nd worst P4 team behind Purdue. In my opinion-- non-conference LSU - good but much easier than UGa SC - on road vs at home Troy, Furman - who cares
conference repeats Lousville - on the road vs at home FSU - at home vs on the road. They'll swap 25 players via portal. Have to be better than this year but who knows how much
conference others SMU - should still be good Syr - loses McCord* (led nation in passing, was Ohio St's starter last year), doubt they'll be good (lost to Stanford, Pitt, BC this year) GT - loses King*. They scored 13 vs ND and 6 vs VT when he was out injured this year Duke - meh, they're ok BC - meh UNC - they'll probably suck
summary SC, Louisville go from home to road, so a little tougher LSU is much easier than UGA SMU is much harder than whoever they are replacing everybody else we should be big favorites so doesn't matter much
*they seem to make up eligibility rules as they go now, so not 100% sure these guys are gone

Normally I'd be pretty optimistic what with getting most guys back and a good recruiting class as well. However this is the worst recruiting class we've had in a long time and half the team could portal out so why bother even thinking about next season until spring practice at the earliest.

Some very valid points being made. I guess I haven’t fully adjusted to the modern day of CFB. However I am thinking Wesco, Williams & Moore returning, how improved Cade has looked & a much improved offensive line. It makes me optimistic
