What is interesting is we bought this machine in 2012. It was large and huge compared to our former washing machine. It was top loading, so you don't have the mold issue. AND....the washer and dryer were environmentally friendly (per the salesman @ HHGregg). The dryer has an automatic setting to dry only as much as needed, the washing machine also used less water AND SPINS FASTER, thereby decreasing drying time and energy consumption.
We wash about 6 loads a week give or take. The thing sounds like a freaking jet engine on the spin cycle. It spins WAY faster than our old one. And yes, when you take the wet clothes out after 20 minutes at 1100rpm, they're a lot drier before having to be put in the dryer. But keep in mind this thing spins perhaps 15lbs of wet clothes (or more) 18 times a second.
But if this machine ever failed while spinning I would imagine it would be more akin to an explosion than anything else.

I would pay more for a top loader because as someone who's tall, I'm not bending over to put laundry in a washing machine.

went out on my range, and about a week later the display died on the microwave. I guess their 5 year timer was up.
I bought a whole kitchen full of Samsung at UDP prices from [RH TIg's least favorite bog box store that isn't orange] and never looked back. The Samsung dishwasher sucked bawlz but big box store took it back and gave me about a 3 tier upgrade Bosch in its place. It was all working when I moved.

Had the drain pump go out on the washer last month. $29 fix.

that thing does spin REALLY fast. Got it for cheap at Lowes in 2012.
Only problem I have had with it is a few off balance load errors.

Plugged mine in and I was impacted. (That does not sound appropriate for the Lunge). I meant to say that I entered the serial number and my washing machine was defective. They sent me an email telling me to use the delicate cycle and not put blankets, etc. in the thing.
