I assume CDS will honor the scholly for Jayron Kearse but...

Aug 6, 2012, 10:08 PM

will it count against our total allotment? Or will it be exempted by the NCAA like Jake Nicolopolus's?

He will have to visit a doctor before that decision will come out

Any heart condition, no matter how minute, will prevent him

from passing a physical.

He won't be allowed to play, despite the impending protests.

That's not true.

It depends on what kind of murmur t is. The same thing happened to me in high school, I had to get it scanned and watch my heart beat on a monitor. Basically my heart gives an extra flutter sometimes when it pushes out the blood, but it in no way affected my athletic performance then or now 20 years later.

Kearse may be able to play depending on the type condition it is, but nobody will know until he gets tested.

Agreed. Same thing happened with me

And it didn't hinder me playing sports since I was 5 all the way through college

IF he is ruled medically unable to play

Aug 6, 2012, 10:24 PM

his scholarshipm would not count against the 85.
Nickopolous (sp) and JK Jay are examples.

He has not been given that diagnosis yet.

My son has had a heart murmur since birth and lettered in football, basketball and baseball and was all conference in two.

It depends on the seriousness of the murmur.
