SEC was 3-5 in the opening round. And their teams were the higher seeded team in 7 out of 8 games.

They get so battered, bruised, and worn playing such a tough schedule against the best teams in the country. It’s understandable that they would be weary come tournament time after beating each other up for months.
They should probably have 10 or 12 teams in the tournament if selections were made fairly. Any of those teams would cut through the ACC like a hot knife through soft butter. They are even better in football. If those selections were done fairly, they should get 8 of the 12 spots in an average year.

I’ve heard some diehard SEC fans say in the past that the SEC tournament is so brutal that the NCAAT is anticlimactic. I’m telling you, these people are delusional, but unfortunately they have lot of influence in determining who gets into the dance.
