Well said. I wonder if Andersen was the patron that was asked to leave by the staff of Innisfree? DW did take the high road and it would be refreshing if the Tide social media would come online to reinforce poor behavior on their former players' part. That would be classy. Too much to hope for?

Something beyond normal. The more you read, and look up unknown words, the more you'll recognize. A perfectly good word, just not used much.

I use lugubrious all the time now. Like how the coot fans are right now. Very lugubrious.

An ESPN reporter predicted that Clemson fans would be lugubrious after the Notre Dame game. Dabo had to look it up too. It became my new favorite word after that game!

Poor ol' Ryan was "preternaturally lugubrious" January 11-14, 2017, according to team physicians for UA football. Blood samples did not show, however, any corndog content in his system.

Oh, I've seen lots of very low class Alabama fans. To be fair, I met some very nice ones, too. The ones at the Natty did know how to leave quickly after the game, though.

If this keeps up in the NFL, young Mr. Watson will be prohibited from going to most major cities in this country in addition to the college towns he owns scalps from during his time at Clemson. Dude better not be planning on a career in the travel industry. Go Tigers

I truly don't think anything similar would have happened if a bama player went to Esso club. I will say that vast majority of bama fans on their discussion board are embarrassed and have given dw4 praise for beating the best team in FB. . Sounds like situation was made worse by fact dw4 is dating TJ yeldon's ex. Hope it's not true that she's the golddigger as they state.

Not even wearing ANYTHING with Clemson or orange. Absolutely nothing to flaunt anything at the Bama faithful. DW did nothing wrong and everything right in this situation.
Great point about Renfrow.......... good thing he doesn't look like a college player . I guess Anderson was still butt hurting literally and figuratively from Refrow's 'hip check' takedown. DW may have been the MVP of the game, but Renfrow was the HERO of the game.

Good article @David Hood but I have to question one thing.
When you say "we have to hope that Hunter Renfrow never shows up on Anderson’s street or in his neighborhood" what exactly are you implying? Why couldn't you just say let's hope we don't see Hunter Renfrow in a Tuscaloosa bar?

Deshaun was in New Orleans the day before the incident

I have read a lot about this incident, and I haven't seen any mention that Deshaun was in New Orleans the day before accepting the Manning Award. If I was in NO and had a friend in Tuscaloosa, I could easily see myself swinging by Tuscaloosa on the way back to see my friend.

I haven't posted on this site in many moons, but I'm going to take issue with the idea this isn't a reflection on Nick Saban, because it absolutely is.
It's a reflection on Saban because Saban does not recruit character. We should all be familiar with that aspect of the recruiting game for obvious reasons. I can't think of a single Clemson player in the Dabo era who would've done that. If anyone can think of one, I'm open to suggestions.
Saban recruits raw, extraordinary talent that will be chiseled and refined by the Saban/Alabama machine. Nothing else matters. The only character that comes into play is the ability to conform to The Machine. It's also highly indicative of a large portion of their fanbase. Anderson was speaking for them as much as he was for himself or anyone else. And Skip Bayliss? The sports version of Nancy Pelosi.

. . . they were players, and consequently, representatives of the school, of the entire team, and of Coach Saban. No way to let the school off easy on this one - a public apology from Saban is the very least Deshaun deserves. I would be so embarrassed if current or former Tigers had done this to any member of another team and imagine that Dabo wouldn't let it slide by.
