don’t work out at a school, coaches changes etc. But this transfer portal should be done in May/June after Spring Games. Will the NFL or any other sport allow free agency right before the playoffs?

The way it is set up now is destroying the game.

It would not be possible to have players enter the portal after Spring practice because there would be no way to fill the positions and things would be worse than they are now.

not if they make the player sit out a year and lose one year of eligibility... unless a grad student.

After they have been coached through Spring practice? I say before. For instance, why should Dabo and his coaches be developing players who then turn around and leave? A waste of time, effort, and $$$$. Leave in January or February and lots of luck to you.

They aren’t going to bottle it back in. They have given all power to the players and there would be a huge backlash if they changed it with regulation. It’s the unfortunate truth
