I thought he should have returned for his senior year

With everything he went through this past year. The injuries. His sister. I thought come back. Have a great year have your senior year and leave in a much better place physically and mentally. While on a high note rather than after a rather rough year. Also by our standards, the past two seasons weren’t as successful as we would like. This year I think will be back in the right direction.

Agreed but “guaranteed” first 2 rounds and possible 1st is a leave early equation

For most players, yes. But he had the potential to be elite

meaning top 3 pick money. Someone like Murphy I don't think would has that potential.. the majority don't. But Bresee could've hit JJ Watt or Aiden Hutchinson status. But then comes the risk of another injury laden year with no push and maybe drops status. So it was a tough decision for him I bet.

Bresee was never going to be a top 5 pick, let alone top 3. His production, injuries and lack of near unanimous all american status wouldn't justify being a top 3 pick. He did well at the combine, but didn't post elite numbers, they were good numbers, but not elite. Injuries alone will dampen top 5 pick potential. I wish players could get the NFL evaluations and projections earlier because these pundit projections are much too fickle to be making realistic life choices because of them...

I don't believe there's a true Tiger on T-Net that doesn't feel that Bryan should have come back for another season only bc of the hardships and trauma he's experienced the last couple of years with his sister facing her short life span, and then with his injuries. There is no way that he or any other player in the same situation could have had their heart into showing his college coaches, or anybody in the NFL what he was capable of without all the mind and body altering pressures he was experiencing in his personal life during his short time at Clemson.
The kid showed just a little of what he was capable of in the combine, but if they want to use his troublesome couple of years to cheapen him in the draft, well that's their game, and he bypassed his chance to come back and show them, and that's what he'll have to except until he's had the chance to show them what he can do after he's drafted and made the roster cut. Unless he suffers from another injury, I believe he will prove to the team that gets him, just how much of a deal they actually got when they turned his name in to be drafted on their team...

If I hadn't been sitting here in the Drs office waiting to be seen, I would have never wasted a second reading this article. Now that I have, my feelings for these NFL geniuses hasn't changed, they still say a lot not to knowing much about NFL talent, and that is exactly why they're not working for an NFL team as a talent scout. But if they did, the team that they worked for probably wouldn't be a very good team!!!

Maybe he just wanted to put this year behind him and move on. He is going to be successful going this route and he would have been successful staying and showcasing his abilities here. He had more concerns that very few would understand that do not put us in a position to question what he should have done.

NFL.com is as often correct as Kiper or others. However, he should have returned
He may or may not have deserved to drop. However, what he did deserve is the respect and backing and love from his own freaking fan base. You people are really no better than the coots you hate, really.
Some Texas fans bashed Vince Young for getting a DWI. Seriously, these guys are on your level and deserve a quick kick in the backside. Not only is he one of us, but he also almost single handedly won us a national title.
Every one of you calling this kid lazy after what he’s been through is a coot. Maybe even worse

Where are you seeing anyone calling him lazy?
There is no hatred toward him, not even for leaving. There are some guys we're happy to help pack. Bryan ain't one of them. There are some guys we really wish would put in their fourth year for their own good. Bryan is one of them.
I was always mystified by the talk of "he could go between picks 5 and 15." That's not based on hate or anger or whatever, just a personal assessment of his talent level and what he's shown to this point. Comparing this draft to the 2019 draft, where Wilkins and Lawrence were taken at 13 and 17--to me, Bresee is not better than either of those DTs and I didn't think a top-15 pick was justified.
BUT a solid 2023 season could have gotten him there. But we'll never know. Good luck and stay healthy.

I actually see and have always thought Bresee's

best comparison is Austin Bryant. I know they play different positions, but the career path to me says that Bresee is NFL two deep on the roster and probably a starter depending on which technique he's asked to play. But he's got to stat healthy or he will be more like DaQuan Bowers...

The draft actually happens.
BB has been projected all over the place. Yeah, he may no longer be top 10 lock but I think someone is gonna get a steal picking him up at some point in the 1st Rd.
Teams love to muddy the waters so to speak to try and nab a player at a lower pick for a discount. When he's healthy, he's a top 10 pick and an absolute bear. It may even be a blessing for him to get picked up by a better organization.
That said, he very well could fall out the first round but I think he's still got a good chance of being picked -- even if it's in the later part of the 1st Rd.

No worries, he thinks Levis is the best QB in the draft despite a bad year in 2022. He may be the 3rd QB taken. It’s guess work at this point.
