Chad Morris Son now out of eligibility of playing college football , what do you think of bringing in Elliott and Morris as Co Offensive coordinators for next season and letting them bring back the Clemson offense that won us two natties under Dabo. They both have HC and OC experience and would be veteran coaches. They both are excellent recruiters and outspoken leaders. GR could go out and become an offensive analyst for his brother at the real USC.

You are completely wrong. The air raid that GR uses is different. You don’t see as much motion and eye candy from his scheme. How many times have you seen a TE go deep?

You never know if the opportunity presents itself. I hope Tony is not released from Virginia but it is not looking good for him. Virginia opened up their pocket book for this team and will be disappointed if they don’t get their money’s worth. Elliott and Morris are very close since Chad’s Son plays QB for Tony this year.

You also need the players and the depth that we had during that 6 year high.
We have a few good pieces of course and still recruit pretty well , but it's a tall order to ask Tony or Chad or Jeff to come back and make it happen all over again.
Not saying it couldn't be done, but tall order.

not only depth on offense, but depth on defense as well. We gassed our own defense most of the time back then and had to win games in shootout fashion.

It's still early, but I won't be surprised if the Cavaliers make a bowl game. If that happens, of course, Tony will be fine at UVA. But I'm good with Chad running an offense.

I don’t think Tony is going anywhere.
Have any of you watched Virginia? They can flat out score.
I’m not saying they’re an ACC title contender but they should absolutely make a bowl.
I think they could win 7 maybe even 8 but Tony just needs to make a bowl and I believe they’ll do that.

It’s both. Chad is just a notch above DJ and GR is not the man. You have to be more than just a play caller. He would be better off in the box since his demeanor and personality add nothing to the sideline.

We were always an elite team under him. We no longer are elite. If you have been around as long as I think you have you can’t compare scoring no points in every first half to have been a high scoring team.

I will agree with those who say we went from pedestrian to pinball machine when he arrived, but Texas got great with the wishbone once. Everyone seems to have gone away from, or moderated, the hunh. Dont know why. But going back is no guarantee. It does seem that Riley cultivates the demeanor of a guy auditioning for the part of Clint-Eastwood-as-coach.

He was not very successful without elite generational talent.
He was also not as successful without Jeff Scott.
Good guy but overrated football coach.
