That helps us a lot.

With Tillman, Hyatt, and Hooker all out, that should significantly cut down on Tennessee's offensive production.

Ramel Keaton is decent, Squirrel white is very fast, and TE/RB Fant is solid, but they're no Hyatt.

Unless we have some additional critical opt outs, advantage Tigers.

Clemson backups vs Tennessee backups.

That's sillly.

Every one of those guys completed their obligations for the current semester.

Apparently you believe in involuntary servitude. That's soooo 1862 of you.

Making a lot of assumptions there.

Dec 14, 2022, 1:42 PM

And what determines football player obligations?

Yes, you are. I'm not.

The players are obligated until they complete the current semester, opt out, have a serious injury, or declare for the NFL draft.

At least one of those applies to every player who is t participating in the Orange Bowl.

Yet, you seem to want the players to be forced to play after they are no longer obligated. That's slavery, dude.

A lot of people (not talking about any football player) these days don’t care about any kind of “team” it’s become a me culture and nothing will ever be more important then me

Quit It Right Now

Using the word immediately instigates racism and negates the plight of those that are or have been in slavery.
You are being a brat, so stop it!
What this perpetually confused group is struggling with, is the lack of desire to play the game for their schools that have kissed their hind end for how ever many years. Call it loyalty if you are old enough to grasp the concept.
The fact is, Bud Light must be sold, and that is now the purpose of non CFP bowl games.
A player opting out is more a sign of the times and their teammates don’t seem to get upset.
So you are free to deal with it however you choose, but calling it slavery is ignorant and intentionally upsetting in order to inflame others.
Clemson people used to be better than this.

The are obligated until they opt out? You mean quit?

Dec 14, 2022, 4:36 PM [ in reply to Re: Making a lot of assumptions there. ]

It's not an obligation if you can opt out. Maybe I will just opt out of paying taxes.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yep. The game is certainly losing some luster.

The freaking Orange Bowl. I would rather see good on good.
