21 points in 27 minutes of play. That coming off the bench and in his first big league affair! Making tiger nation proud!

In three months away from Clemson Hunter Tyson has gone from being on zero draft boards and uninvited to the combine. That was after 5 years of Coach Brownell’s secret sauce. With three months of professional direction he moved from senior exhibition games, to a combine invite, to a sleeper draft pick, to a high second round pick, to a full contract with a team that already has one of the deepest rosters in the NBA. How, in your mind, does that say anything good about your boy Brownell?

I don’t think you need to be an SJW to think that using “women’s” as a pejorative is sexist. But you’re really showing your character now. I’m sure Brad really enjoys having you in his corner.

Lmao. You were singing a different tune about O-Max, who was also on 0 draft boards, and impressed like crazy at the combine.in his best year marquette, he was 3rd (almost tied for 4th) onnthe team in scoring efficiency, and 7th in rebounding efficiency. He wowed at the combine, but that didnt stop you all from bashing brownell and praising smart.

Tyson on the other hand was a 3* prospect who only had 2 decent offers in clemson and WF. He improved every year at clemson. His freshman year he was only a 23% 3pt shooter (11-47). He left clemson shooting over 40%. He was not a great rebounder early in his career, but he was incredibly efficient his last few years. He also developed into an incredible leader. Those are the 3 things that got him drafted and he improved drastically in all of those areas under our coaching staff.

Props to our coaching staff for identifying an underrated prospect, getting him to commit to clemson, and developing him into an nba draft pick.

Re: Brown-L really got the best out of him though.

Jul 8, 2023, 6:31 PM

Nonsense post. I never said anything - ever - about Smart or his development of O-Max. I never compared O-Max to Tyson, Hall or anyone else. Brad is a trash coach who can’t make the NCAA with NBA talent on his roster and can’t recognize NBA talent or he would have made a priority of keeping OMax. Remember that the Brownell Bros argument when OMax left was that he was being upgraded because it was what Brownell wanted and was best for the program. All the excuses are over. He’s got the assistants he wants. He’s had the talent to win (Simms is still in contention, O Max was a first rounder, Tyson was high second round, Hall has a good chance of being drafted and is Brownell’s best recruit). Yet here we are having lost to Morehead State, at home, in the opener of the Not Invited Tournament. You’ve lost any pretense of objectivity. I guess you’re struggling with maintaining your different t-net personas.

Re: Brown-L really got the best out of him though.

Jul 8, 2023, 8:14 PM

####, i guess bakich cant recognize mlb talent either since he let amick walk? Dabo and derion kendrick? Is that the logic you are really going with? That is some of the dumbest logic ive heard on this board and thats really saying something. We might as well fire all of our coaches! 🤡🤡

I still cant believe that you do not understand the concept that players get developed. Omax never played at an nba level until this last year and it was still an underwhelming season. He wasnt a draft pick until the combine. The year you are speaking of, amir (who hasnt played a game in the nba) was a sr, hunter was a jr, and omax and pj hall were freshman.

Are you insinuating that all of them could hve gotten drafted after that year? Can you name players in any of our sports that played at a professional level their freshman year? Trevor lawrence, and sammy watkins? Anybody else?

You have said a lot of silly things on this board, but this post takes the cake.

I’m not gonna bother to directly rebut three paragraphs of nonsense and whataboutism. As usual, to even attempt to make a point you have to predicate each paragraph by manufacturing a fake argument that isn’t anywhere close to what I’ve said. I understand - Brownell sucks and there isn’t a way to defend him with obfuscation and outright lies. But your increased reliance once strawan arguments and recent foray into misogyny makes it certainly seem like you’ve been a JK scock all along.

Haha back to the conspiracy theories. Youre losing it, bud.

You said, "Brad can’t recognize NBA talent or he would have made a priority of keeping OMax."

Do you have any inside knowledge of the situation, or are you just a biased grouch that uses every opportunity to bash our head coach?

Why do you not bash our other coaches in a similar way when they have transfers?

Jul 8, 2023, 11:14 PM

It was the talking point on here that he was encouraged to leave. That’s what I’m referring to. When another coach has an eventual pro-player, with no known personal or locker promo issues, transfer at the coach’s behest to free up a spot I’ll will also call it out.

That is a joke, and not true. But remember, if tigernet says it, it must be true. Especially refarding basketball!

I havent heard you call out bakich about amick. Seems like that was a direct issue he had with the coach. Of course, these issues happen and players transfer for a variety of reasons. Im not going to put all the blame on bakich. I think he is a great coach!

When I saw his recruiting videos when he was coming in I always thought he had this potential. He just needed more time than I thought. He had great range, size, heart, and he just needed more experience. It's great watching it all come to fruition.

That’s not the complaint belies that you are simply are Brownell homer. The complaint is that with NBA talent on his roster he still can’t make the tourney or not drop multiple games to sub 200 RPI teams.

You constantly say that "brownell cant make the tourney with nba talent". You are such a dramatic baby.

I shouldnt have to say this, but we have made the tournament 2 out of the last 6 years. In 2 other years we had bubble teams who were solid. We are about to make the tournament next year or he's out of here. We have young talent on the team, but you are so blinded by your hatred of brownell that you cannot see that. It's sad to see.

33% at making the tournament in years 8-13 of a coaching tenure isn’t just not good - it is unprecedented in P5 basketball in the 64 team era for a coach to be retained.

Re: Hunter Tyson killed it tonight in the nuggets game!

Jul 10, 2023, 7:06 AM

Ok.... so you are lying and being exaggerative when you say he cant make the tournament. I have never understood the fact that the haters have to exaggerate and make up stats to proce that brownell is bad. If he was so bad, you wouldnt have to do that.

And 2 out if 6 including a sweet 16 with 2 other competitive seasons is not bad especially when you consider clemson's history. Its about to be 3 out of 6. I have a feeling you will be crying about brownell for a few years to come at least! So sad.

You aren’t good at math or debate. I’ve certainly engaged in hyperbole in rebutting your disingenuous nonsense but it certainly isn’t required to criticize Brownell. He stinks.
