in Pickens county school district that took a field trip today to attempt the lady Tigers basketball game.

Great way for Clemson to get a crowd at the game and they have created a lot of new fans with the excited youngsters. 😄

when I invited him to drive up to Southbend in 1979 from G’ville to see Danny & the Tigers play NDame..

and we got to stadium at 5pm on Friday to scout it out and lo & behold the Team buses pulled up to do their field walk-thru..And I asked Danny if Will & I could walk in with them and he said sure, and we did but after team left my Son & I were accidentally locked in the stadium.

That’s a story unto itself and how we got out but I have written often of what happened that day, the following day with a win while our original cotton 3’ x 5’ PAW Flag was stolen temporarily during 3rd quarter by a Doomer student, going down onto the field afterwards to be with the band, and the 12 hour drive home without stopping to spend night in Indianapolis as planned since we were so jacked up.

Combine that with attending 10+ bowl games b/4 and afterwards together and he wanted to attend Clemson as soon as he could (skipped 12th grade) w/o my encouragement, and he did!
