How much would you like to see the Tigers get in revenue sharing?

What would it take to make it worth it to stay in the ACC? I would like to see the cut as close to $50 million as possible. Teams like WF and BC would need to be cut down to around maybe high $20’s. If we can get 50 and FSU around 45 I think that would be fair.
It needs to happen though or we will just fall too far behind SEC and BIG programs. Just too many teams in our conference that aren’t earning their keep or at least the same keep we get. Thoughts?

I dont see revenue sharing as a viable option. If a BC or WF cant pull their weight, they should be kicked to the curb.

the ACC has put itself behind the eight ball in terms of conference revenue and, at this point, I'm not confident there is anything the league can do that will significantly move the needle to reduce the ever-increasing revenue gap.
The ACC distributed a record $36.1 million to its members in 2020-21, while the B1G distributed an average of $48.7 million to its members which was down slightly from the $54.2 million paid during the 2019-20 fiscal year because the league played a reduced football season due to the pandemic.
The B1G just recently agreed to a new seven-year distribution agreements with Fox, CBS and NBC to broadcast games. The rights holders, which also include NBC's Peacock streaming service, Fox Sports 1 and the B1G Ten Network, will pay the B1G more than $1 billion per year which will equate to at least $62.5 million annually from just the television deal. The conference also distributes additional revenue from the College Football Playoff and NCAA men's tournament to its members schools.

.... to give Clemson or FSU money.
Why would Wake, or BC or any other school, in effect, write a $5 million check to Clemson and say, "Here. You deserve it"?
These "lesser" schools know that it is just a matter of time until FSU and Clemson leave and the conference dies. Why would they give them more money now knowing that those two schools are gonna leave at the first opportunity they have?
Teh BC's and Wakes of the world are gonna need all the money they can get when the conference finally dies. Why give anything away now?

Because if the lower tiered schools don't give up some money, they will be left in a conference that pays out like CUSA or Sunbelt.
ACC without Clemson, FSU, and UNC, is the new Sunbelt conference.

year per projections. The SEC schools will get to that number no later than 2028. Even with some convoluted nonequal split, Clemson would be getting less than HALF that amount in the ACC, all the way through 2036.
Look at it another way, if you want to see how much of a shortfall that is. Daboworld cost $55 Million dollars. We will be falling behind those schools nearly the equivalent of that, EVERY SINGLE YEAR. All the IPTAY campaigns in the world will not keep us competitive in that scenario. For the financial survival of our Athletic Programs, we have to get out of the ACC and join one of those two conferences.

that ongoing discussions are occurring behind the scenes among six or more members of the ACC and these other two conferences.
If and when that announcement is made, look for the ACC to immediately file a lawsuit for collusion/tortious interference.

The ACC can go blow for all I care. I ain't runnin no welfare program for the likes of Wake, Duke, NC, GT, Cuse or BC. If they want money they ought to invest in their program rather than taking gubmunt handouts.

If Clemson goes to the CFP game, they get the extra travel expense and additional expenditures but get the exact same amount as an ACC team whom did not even make a bowl and had zero dollars expended.
So if an ACC team makes the playoffs the conference receives 4 mill for the semi-final and 6 mill for the final.
Of that 16 million Clemson will receive the same as a team that does not make a bowl..a little under a million, which is close to the amount of money expended for travel.
I know it is a drop in the bucket compared to TV contracts, but that is the most obvious unequitable split.

It would weaken the conference and it would also not be able to still keep clemson and fst competitive. 50 million (a high high estimate) isn’t anywhere close to the 75-100 range we need to be in.
This will be settled in the courts. Clemson and F St are leaving this conference. No doubt about it.

But smaller schools getting a smaller part of the pie will only lead to more inconsistencies within the league and all will suffer.

Cause thats what it would take and thats simply not feasible without paying half the league basically 0. And that, in and of itself, isnt feasible. So no, profit sharing absolutely, unequivocally will not work. There is virtually no way to save the ACC, outside of the member institutions just accepting their lot in life as second (or third) tier programs.
