…based upon the endorsement of a product by a college athlete?

Rhetorical, I think, but just wondering if anyone believes the premise behind NIL.

I do my own research. I don't buy anything simply because some clown on TV tells me to.

research on their purchases, but listen (or read on the internet) to somebody that says not to get a vaccine and they don't get one.

Live or die consequences and they don't do their homework. But buying the baddest TV, they spend days researching.

With how out of control advertising has gotten I find myself getting more annoyed than anything having to sit through them. I could care less if it's my favorite athlete selling it or not

No I get what I need when I need it. Could care less about endorsements. Mainly purchase by reading customer reviews.

Which makes them feel better because they couldn’t ever play and win one. It is money and power. I agree I doubt anyone is getting their return on the “advertisements”

trash can has that happened. I was about six or maybe eight.

In adult world, the little "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" tags have more persuasive power.

It’s subconscious. Nobody has ate Subway because Steph Curry told them to. But celebrities and athletes are marketable just because of recognition.

I surely haven't bought any Beats headphones. Haven't eaten Bojangles since before DJU. Definitely haven't been to Shipolte! I guess my answer is No.

It's an obvious sham for the most part

but it's currently the only legal way for players to get paid, so it shouldn't be surprising that people are abusing it beyond its intended purpose. The NCAA and its member schools could end this charade any time they feel like it, but that would mean sharing their own revenue instead of letting boosters and regular donating fans foot the bill.

If the schools were in on it, which in my opinion they have to be, wouldn’t they have to pay every athlete?
