How many analysts were wrong last night?

Sep 2, 2012, 8:36 AM

LOUser Holtz is ONE. EVERY analyst I heard except 1 guy predicted AU's awesome D would prevent us from winning. I wish every last one of them would have to apologize about how little they understand the game of football. I think the 1 analyst was a GT grad, but I can't remember his name.

ESPN - FAIL!

If I remember correctly, Herbie, Desmond, and Pollack all picked us on Gameday. The majority of studio analysts I saw picked Auburn, however.

I know one who was right, and wrong depending on which point of view you are considering.
Walt Deptula picked the Tigers to win.

According to Walt, the only time he has been wrong was

Sep 2, 2012, 9:20 AM

the one time he initially thought he was wrong.

Mark May is certainly looking for cover this morning.***

Re: RESPECT

Sep 2, 2012, 9:16 AM

I agree with your post, and it really looks like to gain respect from anyone, we are going to have to keep winning and executing without flaws. It's not fair, but we have a lot of young talent that can really perform.
I found it funny that the reporters made sure everyone knew about Lattimore's 100 + yd. game. What is missing here is that he ran against Vanderbilt, and Ellington had 230 yds. against SEC FOE AUBURN. Come on guys, Clemson deserves more attention.

CLEMSAM

Re: RESPECT

Sep 2, 2012, 10:01 AM

We will never get RESPECT from the media or ESPN until we are able to finish a season strong and a BCS Bowl win. Its just how it is.

Lattimore is agreat back but he is slower than Andre*****

Lattiless came back from a bad knee injury and was a media

Sep 2, 2012, 10:18 AM [ in reply to Re: RESPECT ]

darling. Andre should be getting more press though.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Robert Smith of ESPN picked against us all week.

Sep 2, 2012, 9:49 AM

He was so sure you would have thought the guy had money on Auburn.

He's usually pretty objective.

GIVE ESPN "some" credit

Sep 2, 2012, 10:17 AM

they did break away from the BG/Fla game instead
of dragging it on till the bitter end to start the
CU game.

Proud of them!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They didn't break away at my house...I didn't get our game

Sep 2, 2012, 10:26 AM

until we had traded punts.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Same here.

Sep 2, 2012, 10:35 AM

I couldn't believe I was getting every excruciating last second of that crapfest, all the while wondering if they were delaying our kickoff. Of course not.

ESPN cut to the game with 10 min left in the first quarter at my house.
