I think we put priority on other tackles like Satterwhite and Westphal. I do agree we should have landed atleast Pringle he’s a high 4 star #1 in the state recruiting ranking wise. I think we should go really hard and try to flip on if those guys. Tho tbh I’m not too concerned about Olinemen this class. We are atleast 2 deep with I wanna say all 4 and 5 star lineman. We just have to hit the 25 class hard and knock it out the park.

Well what about the other 2, but like I said we have a lot of 4 and 5 star depth on the Oline right now so let’s knock it out in 25 class! GoTigers!!

Thompson is currently rated #2 OT nationally by 247. Also, his 3rd cousin twice removed used to have a friend who took a couple of classes at Midlands Tech in the mid 80's;
so you see right there, Beamer had him locked up from the beginning. We never stood a chance him or Pringle.

We don’t have an oline coach. Thomas Austin is a former player in way over his head just like Grisham. Until we get real position coaches again we’re never gonna win a national title

Ain’t that the truth, I think Austin can be ok but man all they do is talk crap about our WRs now and it’s like they all can’t be misses as recruits like you have to look at the WR coach Grisham at some point Dabo like come on. How can he go into a home and say I’ll put your son in the league when he doesn’t have a track record of doing so and I don’t think he had any like meaningful time in the pros. I just want what is best for Clemson and he tried to hire his old players but it’s not working. WR need to make a huge step this year for me to get behind Grisham. I think Riley was the reason we got Wesco too.

Dabo wants his name to be able to cover all the inexperienced coaches some may or may not notice. It will only get him so far as soon as we keep getting dropped on our heads at the moments that we don't need to be getting dropped on our heads. Major out of conference victories is the only way to keep getting the attention of the elite recruits.

So what do you have to say about his 2023 haul? One bad class and he’s garbage? What if we don’t land Gibson out of Texas? Will we blame that on Mike Reed? The answer is no. We know that Dabo is active in his recruitment as well. This is also the case with many other recruits. So my point is the blame is not solely on TA.

or did he retire at the top of his game? We've got a roster full of 4-5 star guys that are going to play. If you're an OL recruit and see sitting on the bench for 1-2 years waiting for your shot, why not go somewhere else like Scar they can play day one for that #### program. Same as FL. OL will have a huge class next year in which we will get who we want after a year in Riley's offense.

I don’t know why this concept seems so hard to understand. The state of South Carolina is extremely polarized. Probably as much as any state in the nation.
Kids born and raised in South Carolina grow up emerged in the culture of the Tigers or the Gamecocks. They are raised following one school or the other and they don’t break away from that tradition very often.
It’s just not all that complicated.

It's not a hard concept.
Quite simple really. Some of these kids might want to be; "tha antagonist" in the family or something; but by in large, you aren't going to flip them.

I don't think losing to them in November had anything to do with it. Prior to winning National titles and getting All-American players at every spot; they had their little 5-year run (whatever). Yet, we still got quality players during that stretch that led up to National Championships.
These kids were just groomed to be Gamecocks! Now, if you have a kid who grew up a Tigers fan, "and they get flipped to be a Gamecock because they thought it was better for them in the long run it would be different"! But, that's not what we are talking about here.
We are pretty good on OL as it stands for the moment. We just need to pick it up next cycle! And, I believe we will.

Their allegiance is already imprinted in their DNA from early childhood.
A 1-point SCAR win did not play any role in the decision of any of this past years recruits. Those kids had all seen nothing but Clemson wins since they were in middle school.
I’m sure the win last November made them happy, but they were signing with SCAR regardless.

We're deep on the offensive line with our current players & the incoming freshmen. We have one offensive lineman currently for 2024 and I'm sure Dabo's coaches will get at least one more for 2024. In today's world, it's hard to have kids wait for their time to play. I hope you haven't bought into the "we can't recruit talk." Dabo knows what he's doing!!

Very simply put: Offensive line recruits are looking at our success over the last two years, the fact that our offensive line is pretty well set, and they would not be facing a high probability of being able to start in their freshman year! That is it! So they go where they feel they have the best opportunity to start right away!
