Tanner said without saying what actually happened with the OBS? He made the comment that he didn't want him to leave but by the end of the conversation he agreed with Slurrier. Seems to me that the OBS was ready to get the hell out of that school, tanner tried to get him to stay until the end of the year and slurrier said f this and you, I'm out. Probably in not so many words though.

Unless his buyout was $900,000 or less, he quit. Otherwise, why negotiate away the contract you signed? What am I missing here?

How 'bout you go quit your job and see if you still get paid? If he quit voluntarily his still getting paid is a bunch of ####. If one cent of public money goes to his salary (he is a state employee) then the entire state is owed an explanation.
