How do we sit with scholarships?

Dabo mentioned that they have to play a lot of people in the scrimmage because they are evaluating to get to 80. Last spring I thought we were a few over if we didn’t pull a few back from former walk ons, but don’t remember final numbers

If ACC rules are like SEC rules in this regard, we can only play 80 in a conference home game, and only 70 can travel. So Dabo is thinking about the potential 80 that would play against FSU and Wake. That gets us to the bye week. If the number he is using is 80 and not 85, the concern is not about scholarships but about who will be on the active roster for games 4 and 6 (barring injury or shuffling between now and then).

I could certainly be wrong but I thought he said we had to get to the 80 who will go to Duke. I think we are fine now on the 85 scholarships.

Should be at 84 after Dudley being kicked off the team. Should be a pretty good battle between a few walk-ons for a scholarship.
