They are finely tuned athletic instruments for whom sleep is a critical part of the process. I bet they naturally sleep exceptionally well compared to us fat old fans.

Although back when i was swimming 100k a week, I’d still have problems falling asleep before a big meet sometimes . . . Other times my mind was right and i’d get the sleep i needed

Tru dat.....sleep does seem to get more difficult as you age. You would think it would be easier bc we're all headed for that dirt nap. Lol

TBH I think this is why folks talk about “big game experience,” and such. If you’re experienced, you treat it like a professional. You sleep the same, you study the same, etc.
