We played 4 schools in North Carolina every year for most of our history. Not much to gain.

If you notice usc is loading up on out of conference games against North Carolina teams to help their recruiting.

schools. No major history for Pirates under late 80's. I think their stadium expansion has helped them out. That and getting games with NC State that it seems like they win on a regular basis.

Because we are smart. One of those teams that can beat you. There is no upside. If you win people say you should have won and if you loose you look awful. Either okay teams you "should" win easy or play a big boy that you get credit for beating
