post today after the success of last nights win and this year’s success with Clemson’s Basketball Coach Brad Brownell’s program.
Is it that difficult for the Nancy’s to enjoy the success of the best back to back years in Tiger basketball history. Especially this year with overall wins , conference wins and a double bye on the ACC tournament. Someone posted we could win 32 games this year. I believe it is possible. It’s even possible Clemson Basketball could win the National Championship.

Between basketball, baseball, and football, we have had nothing laurels the last several weeks. That’s taking nothing away from soccer, softball or lacrosse, either, but the bug 3 sports are rolling at the moment.

back to back seasons in school history, that we should have fired him before we started winning consistently and they can't enjoy the success now that we are winning at a record pace...That's why the goalposts keep getting moved

I was/am perfectly onboard, conceded that maybe Brownell has a special knack for the portal, have not called for him to be fired, and only say anything that could possibly be interpreted as “negative” about basketball when responding to nonsense. Supporting Clemson is not the same as supporting coaches and you have no problem with negativity towards other coaches/sports or the users that express it . So nothing about your reply is sincere. You just have an exceptionally low bar for your basketball expectations. I’ll be happy if he can prove me wrong and win either a ACC title or advance further in the NCAA tourney. I guarantee you have no concept how poorly he compares to every other P4 conference coach to be tenured 15 years or more. He is paid handsomely and Clemson has invested in him in a manner that is unparalleled in college basketball history - so expecting something to show for it besides counting wins would be nice.

Ok folks, we need to consider fragility here. This post is big step and I want to recognize that.
It’s a perfectly reasonable standard to expect a 15th year head coach to have reached the point that you make the tourney more often than not.
I’m good with this, but would like to hope for and maybe experience more. If we have raised the bar to the next level, can’t we all be happy?

Add in reg season or tournament conference championships and expand it to all time in those conference. It’s a bottom 5% return. But we’re paying a top 20 overall, top 2 in conference for historically poor return.

It’s really sad that you have the pre-imposed cap on success in your mind. Did you apply this same line of thinking when raising children? Did you set a really low bar for them then actively discourage them from ever attempting to surpass it.

I think it is possible but to have a chance we need four things: build the basketball building which was announced two ish years ago, up the NIL by ~ $2M, keep CBB in Clemson and all fans unite behind the program. A NC is never guaranteed but those four items would likely bring it closer to reality.
