they deliver greater exposure globally. Their football atmosphere is better, it's a wash competitively in sports across the board, they're a top flight academic school, they fit perfectly in not only the geographic footprint but the league image, and adding them would bring Notre Dame's annual number of ACC football games to six, a major step to gaining their membership on a full time basis.

No one watches Navy play football, period. So to say they get you the DC market is like saying Boston College gets you the Boston market. It just doesnt, period. And athletically they are aweful and bring less than nothing to the table.

argument about the DC market. I would venture that if you actually looked at real numbers you would find that in the DC market they are pretty close, perhaps an edge to Navy. Outside of the market, it's no comparison.
