NIL is NOT (officially and legally) an extension of the university.

But thanks to a Gurggle search:

Can Players From FCS Teams Receive NIL? Short answer: Yes. The NCAA's interim policy permitted athletes of all of its member schools, regardless of level, to be able to earn compensation from NIL. There is no NCAA rule that restricts FCS teams from doing so, either.

This sounds like it would be a fun experiment for a billionaire.

Assuming Clemson was not for sale, or they refused to have an affiliation with you, which teams would you consider 'buying?' Is there a college or town that you feel is ripe for a great football team?
