I’m also 41 years old and would like to see Clemson win one of these in my lifetime. I’m tired of good enough or just making the tournament. This team should have won the ACC and at least made the final 4

Yep, no coaching adjustment to play stingy perimeter defense after they started making their 3s. That was their MO. But Brad didn’t prepare them for that. We had zero pressure on them defensively almost all game. PJ also had a couple boneheaded fouls. His last two were completely avoidable if he had just blocked out! A player with his experience and skill in the biggest game of his life should not have had mental lapses like that. We were completely out coached and out played. Oh, and MAKE YOUR FREE THROWS GUYS!!!

Truth. Their 3pt percentage was better than our free throw percentage in the 2nd half. Kids at the line gotta hit. Coach can’t shoot it for them. Guarantee Brad could make more than 4 of 10 Free Throws

Wow...what a comment. He made some great chess moves to slow bama down...if our guys hit some foul shots we win.
I hope Brad stays for 20 years and I hope you enjoy being frustrated for 20. He recruited this team he put it together and made a nice run and has taken our program from basement dwellers to top of the conference. You probably are ready to fire Dabo too aren't you?

But last I checked, Clemson was never “top of the conference” in MBB. Brad hasn’t taken us there. Ever. He has done some decent things though. Got us off the Schnide at Chapel Hill (twice), taken us to Sweet 16 (also twice!), and Elite 8. But as long as we’re in the ACC, we will never win a conference championship or a conference tournament under Brownell. Not while all the Mickey-D’s are hoarded by the NC schools.

Brownell has done a hell of a coaching job down the stretch and this team played their guts out for him. We've got good players coming back, and this run has put a spotlight on the Clemson program, and will really help with recruiting. High schoolers and portal players notice what our players say about this program. Looking forward to next year!

a magical run, like NCST did back in ‘83. But the game has changed so much since the “good ol’ days” and I think as long as Brownell is the coach, the Tigers will always be mediocre. To me, he’s kinda like Tommy Bowden. Overachieves here and there, pulls off some shocking upsets, but also has way too many head-scratching losses and mental lapses that turn fans into emotional, bipolar wrecks. I’m sure he’ll be around for the foreseeable future after this run. So just enjoy the victories when (if) they come and don’t get your hopes up. Going to be a loooooong time until we see the Elite 8 again! Enjoy the memories, Tiger fans!
