Mukuba (Games played 9) - Total Tackles: 52 - Solo Tackles: 33 - Assisted Tackles: 19 - Tackles for loss: 4 - Passes Defended: 10 - Interceptions: 4
Griffin (Games played 13) - Total Tackles: 25 - Solo Tackles: 18 - Assisted Tackles: 7 - Tackles for loss: 0 - Passes Defended: 3 - Interceptions: 1
I just wanted to set the record straight. If Mukuba was at Clemson this year, he would have started and made our defense better.
I hated that he left, but it doesn't mean he wasn't a good player. And certainly would NOT have been riding the bench. Some of you have lost your minds.

He is an amazing DB. Wish we still had him. I will never understand the hate towards him.

He abandoned his team is the reason for the hate. He left for money and made comments about coaches and team. If he would have just come out and said Im leaving cause they are paying me more. Less hate towards him.

Or he left and went back home. He literally transferred to the college in the town he is from.

Hey there, Worst Clemson ‘Fan’ on the Planet
Since you’re setting records straight, can you please explain in detail why you started a thread that said ‘FIRE DABO’, then changed the thread’s name to ‘mmmmmmmm’. Here’s the link in case you need a refresher -

You can call me the worst fan on the planet; that's your right. But I am a graduate and have been following Clemson for 50 years.
NO ONE IS ABOVE CLEMSON. That includes your messiah, Dabo.
Anyway, why don't you try commenting on the actual subject and get out of here with your sanctimonious, petty, school-yard B$.

Oh wow, I thought you were some like 20 year old kid that still hadn’t figured it out yet. 50 years man… that’s something
As for the comparison, like everyone else has said, you should be comparing him to Barnes

That's a nice comparison and all, but it wasn't Griffin who was taking his playing time last year, it was Barnes, and here's Barnes' stat line:
(13 Games Played) Total Tackles: 56 - Solo Tackles: 33 - Assisted Tackles: 23 - TFL: .5 - Passes Defended: 7 - Interceptions: 4.
I won't say he wasn't a good player, but he lacked the most important ability, and that's availability. Sure, if we ran the 4-2-5 all year, he'd probably start over Griffin, but if we ran out base defense, he's not starting over Barnes. I'll the younger player without an alarming injury history everyday of the week. Also, as someone from Austin as well, I never tucked my tail and headed home because I was taught to finish what I start (I'll assume that's because he and I grew up in different parts of Austin with different work ethics).

Mukuba knew his snaps here were going down He technically did not lie when he said “ I wasn’t going to be developed anymore at Clemson”. Stellato said something similar. Don’t know why these kids shoot themselves in the foot on the way out. What they won’t say is “ if I stayed, I would not get enough snaps to improve my NFL draft stock” Mukuba is a very good player on a very good team. I would not trade Griffin or Barnes for him though. Just as good with at least one more year of eligibility than Andrew.

They had him at slot and nickel and out of his position. I don't blame him for saying that. The staff did a poor job of roster management, and that was NOT Mukuba's fault.
His freshman and sophomore years were very, very good. The staff did not develop him. He's correct.

They're being honest.
The Dabo narrative is that his program develops players. It's his main excuse for avoiding portal guys.
Then people portal out and point out that the hill in which Dabo planted his flag is shaky.
If you don't like it, get Dabo to change his ways and make it better.

It's hard to blame that on him.
Yep. Similar to Barnes this year. Can't blame Mukuba either overall. He's done well at Texas this year and would certainly have loved to have him on the team.
I think most just have sour grapes because of him chasing $$$ for his last year.

...playing nickel and covering the slot.
This is the fault of the staff's roster management, not Mukuba.

Sounds like nobody respects Makuba and he gets thrown at a lot from those stats, why don't you show how many receptions he's given up?
