Coach, this has very little to do with your defense. In fact, the last 4 seasons have had very little to do with your defense.

shortcomings going on the fourth year of bad offense/really good defense as a team is... bizarre.
He's got to know that the offense is the weak link, and think he's protecting them I guess? But it just comes across as being wildly out of touch with what's going on on the field.

I wonder if he is protecting the offense because he is heavily involved in it.

If he is making a lot or most of the decisions on offensive strategy and plays called, it makes sense that he would be more protective and defensive.

I know it's popular to think he's 'meddling' in the offense, but I'm not sure about that. Or at least it doesn't make sense that he's doing things different now from what he always did and we were really good at offense for quite a long time.
But no matter what it is, his chronic 'well I'm disappointed in the defense' schtick when my dog could watch the games and know we don't have a functioning offense is grating.

He also kept saying Clemson was bad for two quarters. How many first downs did you have in the first half? Two.

innocent either. With a tight game they have up 2 easy TD's to UGA on their first 2 possessions that blew the game wide open. Defense was rested coming out of half, gives up TD,then offense goes on 5 minutes plus drive and defense gives up another TD. I'm just saying optically that looks like UGA made adjustments, and we didn't.

Dabo is right. The defense was really poor in the second half.

Unfortunately, the offense was too, which is why we lost 34-3.

So dabs is either deflecting from the obvious offensive problems or his defense is not conditioned enough to play 4 quarters with an elite team. Hmmm. I think any defense would be tired playing that much
